Microwave: Place in microwave-safe container with 2 1/2 cups water; cover with vented plastic wrap and microwave on high for 10 minutes or until cooked through.
Oven: Spread a layer of sauce in the bottom of a baking dish. Place the ravioli on top then add more sauce covering all ravioli. Sprinkle some parmesan if you please then cover with foil and pop in the over for 20 mins.
Pot: Follow steps 1–3. This is our traditional method of making our ravioli and it covers the ravioli entirely with the sauce. If you wish to have light sauce, skip step 2 and simply heat the sauce separately and drizzle on top.
1 bag of Mesa ravioli (serves 3–4)
Mesa sauce (half a jar for every 1 bag of ravioli)
Prep time: 10-15 mins
Fill a medium sized pot with water and bring to a boil over high heat. Add the frozen ravioli and allow to cook uncovered for 3-4 minutes. Or until they are heated through and begin to float.
Pour the ravioli in a colander to drain the water and run under warm water for 10 seconds. Place them in a sauce pan with your choice of sauce, heat and mix together for about 2 mins or until they are heated through.
Add some garnish such as fresh parmesan, basil or anything that compliments your creation. Enjoy and eat well!
Preheat oven at 350 degrees. Place the ravioli on a baking sheet and bake for approximately 14 minutes or until golden and puffed up. Optional: add topping provided in the kit. Best when served warm.
